Write a Letter of Intent (LOI)
This is your official notice that you intend to homeschool your child(ren).

To Whom it May Concern,
We are sending this letter of intent to homeschool as required of Section 100.10 of the Regulations of the New York State Commissioner of Education.
We intend to homeschool our son/daughter, ___________________, who will be entering grade ___ , for the 20__-20__ school year.

Parent's name
Within 10 days of receiving your LOI, your school district must send you a copy of the State home instruction regulations and a form on which to submit your Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP). Just like the LOI may have sounded a little scary at first the IHIP is a little mor involved than the LOI but we will help guide you through it.
