Khan Academy

Sitting here after the blizzard during what is commonly known as Christmas break for children in public schools, our boys have been outside playing in the snow, enjoying Ticket-to-Read, studying Chinese characters and conversation, building megabloks Thomas the Train Mountain Adventure, flying remote control helicopters, learning how to play chess(by the 5yr old's request), practicing violin, learning about Kwanzaa, loving IXL's math program, helping Daddy build the kitchen Nook, baking and juicing and doing arts and crafts, among many other things.

Our dear friend in Atlanta, a former homeschooling family who now continues to supplement her children's education now that they attend school sent us this link for Khan Academy. "The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) with the mission of providing a world-class education to anyone, anywhere."After watching the little video on the homepage intrigued me. There are over 1800 videos to choose from and arranged by topic. I am interested in your take. What age are your kids. Do you think you might use this resource? I look forward to using it and reporting back. I also look forward to your responses.
