Happy Birthday Mr. Bunsen

Today, March 31st  is not only the last day of March and National Clam on a Half Shell Day, but it is also Bunsen Burner Day.  Today celebrates the birthday of it's creator, the German chemist Robert Wilhelm Eberhard von Bunsen. I thought this Google picture was so cool I just had to write a little about it. They often have such creative ways of celebrating important events with a google doodle. Yesterday was our turn to teach the Physics co-op for our homeschool group. We are using Real Science 4 Kids Pre-Level Physics. We are very happy with this curriculum for science. The kids are very engaged and the experiments are quite fun.  Colorful graphics in the text book and hands-on labs make the boys very excited to do Physics and go to co-op. We have a Teacher's manual, the student text and the lab workbook. We highly recommend Real Science 4 Kids if you are looking into a science curriculum for bot scientists and non-scientists alike.
Real Science 4 Kids is self proclaimed "worldview-neutral" and "worldview-friendly".
